The year is drawing to a close and it’s time to honour the very best among the region’s leaders and companies at the prestigious Gulf Business Awards 2022, which will be held at Central Park Towers DIFC in Dubai on November 23.
We will be celebrating business leaders and companies who’ve steered their companies through geopolitical challenges, inflation and other factors while successfully leveraging the opportunities the year has presented. All our nominees richly deserve to be recognised for their work and are pioneers in their fields.
This year, the awards covers categories such as banking, finance and investment; healthcare; hospitality; real estate and construction; retail; tourism; transport and logistics.
In addition to this, we now have another special edition category for this year called the SME Golden Frame Awards, brought to you by Century Financial and Gulf Business.
Innovative, disruptive and future-forward – these are the qualities that exemplify many of UAE-based small and medium-size enterprises. This crucial sector is the backbone of the UAE’s economy as it continues to diversify beyond the non-oil sector.
Backed by the country’s visionary leadership, and often funded by public and private organisations, these enterprises have achieved significant milestones, disrupting several sectors from finance and technology to healthcare and mobility.
Today, small and medium-size enterprises (SMEs) comprise more than 90 per cent of the companies operating in the UAE. They employ over 86 per cent of the labour force in the private sector and contribute to more than 60 per cent of the GDP.
As two of the country’s leading institutions that celebrate innovation and industry, Century Financial and Gulf Business are proud to announce the inaugural Golden Frame awards for SMEs.
Given to a select group of enterprises across five categories, the SME Golden Frame Awards will be conferred to SMEs that are pioneers and leaders in innovation, business strategy, product delivery, sustainability and customer service among other factors.
